Saving puppy no easy task for firefighters
Firefighters had to break through a 10-inch concrete wall to rescue a puppy trapped between two downtown buildings.
The pup, just acquired by its owners, was let loose for a romp Monday afternoon in the rear yard of their home on the 100 block of West Lake Street. The dog squeezed between a narrow gap between the west wall of the house and an adjacent concrete-block building used for storage and couldn’t get back out.
