What to do about a sad puppy?
Sam loves other puppies. He loves other people, too. We have tried hard to keep Sam around others, so that he can get used to them. He’s done well, licking faces and only lightly tugging on pants. Sam, please don’t do that.
Anyway, he gets really sad when the other dogs go away. I guess I can’t wrestle as well as they can. So we have been redirecting his attention with a bone or other toy to keep him happy. I just hate to see him sad, lay down and watch as the other puppy walks away with its owner.
